Why I Hate The Toronto Blue Jays

In 2020, Major League Baseball shortened its 162 game season to 60 games on account of the pandemic. In 2021, after COVID ended, MLB returned to its standard 162 game schedule (and kept the newly introduced COVID-19 injured list), but the Toronto Blue Jays, being the only MLB team in Canada (which was much stricter with its COVID restrictions), wasn't allowed to play in Toronto until July 30, instead playing their home games in Dunedin, Florida, and Buffalo, New York, where they had minor league affiliates. However, the tyrannical Canadian government was still trying to force their people to get COVID jabs, and didn't allow the Jays or their opponents to play in Toronto in 2021 or 2022 unless they were vaccinated. Now there are a number of scandals surrounding the COVID vaccine, including the CDC changing its definition of vaccine shortly before rolling them out (https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/the-cdc-changed-its-definition-of-vaccine-so-the-public-would-take-the-covid-shot/), and the fact that natural immunity is far more effective against getting the virus a second time (https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/over-98-percent-of-canadian-adults-had-natural-immunity-against-covid-in-2022-govt-data/), not to mention the fact that current Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman landed on the injured list in 2021 for complications due to the shot (not the virus) while with the San Francisco Giants. However, even if the COVID vaccine was totally harmless, mandating any kind of vaccine is clearly against Church teaching (https://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20201221_nota-vaccini-anticovid_en.html). This also denies common sense. Any person should have liberty over what goes into his own body. Any government that tries to force him to take something that isn't right for him (thus interfering with his private life) is, by definition, totalitarian.
If I was MLB's commissioner, I would have told the Canadian government to forget it. I would have told the Blue Jays that they were not allowed to return to Toronto unless all players were allowed to play there as normal. They had been playing in Dunedin and Buffalo in the first half of 2021; I would have allowed them to continue playing home games there until the Canadian government lifted its COVID restrictions. Instead, MLB bowed down to the Blue Jays. As a result, the Blue Jays had a significant unfair advantage when playing at home. For example, when the St. Louis Cardinals traveled to Toronto for a two game series in July of 2022, two of their best players, third baseman Nolan Arenado and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, were not allowed to play. About a week later, when the Jays traded for Whit Merrifield at the deadline to strengthen their roster for the pennant race, they forced him to get the jab in order to play. It's just so sick and psychopathic. If there was a dangerous risk of COVID transmission after 2020, mandating vaccines wouldn't have been the answer; canceling games would have been much wiser. Since they resumed the 162 game schedule in 2021 (keeping the COVID IL, mind you), that should have been the end of the story.

Who Wouldn't Want Universal Basic Income?

My thought is that the government will offer UBI only in the form of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in an attempt to get the population hooked on the idea and completely dependent on it. We've got to be careful to resist the promise of free money in exchange for our freedom.

The Myth of Overpopulation

“We are not afraid of Baby 8 Billion because we know the world is still a largely empty place. Next time you fly, look down. You will see empty fields as far as the eye from 35,000 feet can see. There is plenty of room for Baby 8 Billion.” - Austin Ruse

Children have an innate sense of the natural law. I was recently reading an article from Catholic Answers that described a three-year-old ...
